To determine if your license will be valid, choose the MacVector | About MacVector menu item - the resulting dialog will display your license details, including the date your maintenance agreement will expire. If you had a valid maintenance contract with MacVector, Inc on November 1st 2018, you are eligible to receive the MacVector 17.0 release. Simply drag all of those that you are interested in into your existing active /Applications/MacVector/ folder to replace the old versions. A "MacVector" folder will be created - inside that you will find all of the auxiliary file folders. Download the file and then extract it in you downloads folder. However, our new online "Sparkle" updater only updates the MacVector application itself, it does not update the auxiliary files. From time to time, we update these files to include new enzymes or additional vectors. MacVector ships with a number of "auxiliary" files - Restriction Enzymes, Scoring Matrices, Common Vector etc that are installed in folders alongside the main MacVector application.
